Clugston's RAW Dirty Street Fighting
60Are you using NASA to protect yourself
There are many skills that are necessary in a street survival situation. They all stem from one of three factors: mental, emotional or physical.
Most systems of Martial Arts and the way they are taught from a Teacher Central modus concentrate on the physical expression of technique. This is a serious error as it assumes that physical movments exisit outside of a mental and emotional climate and setting. A simple proof of this is the sklil required to walk across a wire. The skill can be learned in a fairly rapid manner without requiring years of study. However, walking on a wire that is suspended only a few inches (or centimeteres) above the ground shows that you have the physical skills--it is not the same that is required to walk on a wire that is 100 meteres above the ground.
What has changed?
The EMOTIONAL content has changed and this influences the mental concept that you hold. Your mental image has now changed. The outcome is now more serious. You will never be able to walk on a wire 100 meteres above the ground unless your training has a very important aspect integrated.
